The workshop will explore what happened, what lessons can be learnt and how important it is to prevent prejudice before it turns into hatred and violence.
This workshop will be run by Balbir Sohal, who has recentley returned from visiting Srebrenica and has wide expreience in teaching and training. She will also share the work of 'Remembering Srebrenica', an inituatuve if the Birmingham charity 'Ummah Help to organise UK events for the EU-designated Srebrenica Memorial Day which takes place annually on 11 July. The project's main aim is to tackle hatred and intolerance and help build a better, safer and more cohesive society for everyone by using the example of Srebrenica. This event is organised by the United Nations Association Coventry Branch on behalf of the Coventry Peace & Justice Forum.
