YEAR 10 CELEBRATING GCSE ENGLISH LANGUAGE RESULTS

Well done to all our Year 10 students who collected their GCSE English Language results on 24 August.

This year Mathematics and English GCSEs have been graded using the new system of 1 to 9 grades (9 being the top grade).

A particular well done to those students who achieved the very top grade 9 in the new GCSEs for English Language – an amazing achievement considering they completed the exam one year early.

An excellent 77% of students achieved a grade 4 or above and there were some amazing outstanding individual successes.

A particular well done to Cynthia Atem, Joshua Docking, Elzbieta Goralczyk, Ellie Hetherton and Nicole Keeble who all achieved a grade 8.

And a fantastic well done also to Jessica Harris- Cardwell, Kamshana Indranadan, Oliver Keane and Laelia McDemott who all achieved an outstanding grade 9.

These results are particularly good considering the students completed the new English GCSE one year early!

Many thanks to Miss Grieve, Head of English, and all the English staff who have worked so hard helping students prepare for this exam!
