Head of year 11: Miss Keane
I have been Head of Year for this wonderful group of 207 students since they began Year 9 and it has been a privilege to watch them grow into the mature young adults they now are.
We know that Year 11 can be a very testing time, deadlines, coursework, extra lessons and exams but I am so proud of the way our students are approaching life in Year 11.
Alongside the academic life we also celebrate having lots of gifts and talents in our Year Group and already this year we have taken an active part in the School Mission Week, the many sports teams, drama productions and charity initiatives.
We have a wonderful team of tutors in Year 11 that were chosen specifically to be the best people to support the students as they approach their exams. The tutor team provide extra intervention and revision for everyone on a bespoke programme and really ensure that our students get the very best pastoral care needed.
Attendance in Year 11 really matters as a lost hour is an hour of lost learning. We are very proud that three of our tutor groups have won the weekly 100% Challenge a number of times.
This year we are delighted that there are 70 Year 11 Prefects who carry out a range of duties that enhance the day to day running of the school.
Watch out for more news about Year 11 especially as we celebrate some wonderful achievements!
I look forward to updating this page with all of our news.
