The Royal Geographical Society (RGS) have launched their ‘Young Geographer of the Year’ competition. This year’s competition provides students with the opportunity to explore their favourite place.
Everyone’s favourite place is different and unique. It could be somewhere everyday – such as a local space, a football stadium or a museum – or somewhere extraordinary – such as a holiday destination, a place that holds a special memory, or a place that you have read about or seen in a film.
There will be winners for each Key Stage. For more details of the competition requirements visit the RGS website or see Miss McLaughlin. Closing date for entries is Friday 8th September. All entries should be given to Miss McLaughlin.
