Free School Meal Vouchers

We understand how difficult it will be for some families during this lockdown period, especially for families of children who would ordinarily receive support for school meals.

The Government has announced that we are now able to offer vouchers for local shops or supermarkets replacing food parcels whilst children work from home during the lockdown.  This means that we now offer FSM voucher support from 18th January onwards for all children who would normally receive a  free school meal.

The value of the food voucher is £15 per week per child.  Parents will receive an email from www.schoolvouchers.com with a link to download the voucher onto your mobile device.  Vouchers will be issued in advance of the following week and are available at the following supermarkets:  Aldi, Asda, Iceland, Morrisons, Sainsburys, and Tesco.

In addition we will be sending home essential school equipment (exercise books and pens) during the lockdown period to these children.

If you think that your child might be entitled to receive a free school meal, but you are not currently in receipt of one, please contact us on welfare@cncs.school and we will see what we can do to support you during this challenging period. Equally, if you are struggling financially and need help with resources please contact us on the same email, welfare@cncs.school.

Free School Meals

We understand how difficult it will be for some families during this lockdown period, especially for families of children who would ordinarily receive support for school meals.  To help during this time the catering team has been putting together food parcels which can be picked up from the school and from this week onwards we are also offering to provide some feminine hygiene products for those who request it.  A text message with a link to an online questionnaire is sent out weekly in order to identify those who would like the support.  If your child would normally receive a free school meal and you have not received a text message, please contact the Assistant Headteacher Mr Versey or TLC Manager Mr Wells on the email addresses below and they will add you onto the list.  You will then be given a time slot to pick up your parcel from Wednesday to Friday each week.  If your child does not normally receive a free school meal but you are struggling to support your family at this time, please contact us on the same contact details as we may be able to help.
