Charitable Giving and Community Outreach

At our school, charitable giving is at the heart of who we are. Inspired by our values of compassion, service, and social responsibility, we encourage every member of our community to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Throughout the year, we take part in a range of fundraising and outreach projects, both within our school and in partnership with local communities.

Key Seasons of Giving

Certain times in the Christian calendar hold special meaning for reflection, generosity, and action. We mark these seasons with focused charitable initiatives:

Advent – Preparing with Purpose

During Advent, as we prepare for Christmas, we take time to think about those in need.
 Our Advent collections often include:

Food bank donations

Gift appeals for children and families

Fundraising events to support local charities

Advent reminds us to bring hope, joy, and light to others.

Lent – Giving, Fasting, and Serving

Lent is a season of sacrifice, growth, and service. Instead of simply “giving something up,” we challenge our students to “give something back.”
 Our Lenten charitable activities include:

Sponsored events (silences, walks, challenges)

Fundraising for global and national charities

Awareness campaigns and assemblies

Lent helps us deepen our commitment to justice and compassion.

Outside of these times we work closely with other partnerships for example the Hope project at Christ the King Church, collecting food bank donations for our local communities and people who are in our direct families who are struggling. This charitable giving is something that our students jump at the opportunity to help with last lent collecting over 300 easter eggs to give to disadvantaged families in our local community. We use these opportunities to live out the Gospels in all that we do.

Working Together With Other Schools

We believe that charity is most powerful when we work together. That’s why we are proud to collaborate with other schools in our community to support a range of causes.

Annual Charity Roadshow

One of our highlight events each year is the Charity Roadshow.
 During this project:

Our students and staff visit local primary schools

We run games and events at local schools allowing students at the schools to donate to play these games.

This roadshow empowers younger children to become leaders in charity work, while strengthening relationships between our schools and our wider community.

Why We Give

Through all these activities, we aim to:

Develop empathy and leadership in our students

Support those in need locally and globally

Build strong partnerships with other schools and organisations

Live out Faith in meaningful, practical ways

Charity is not just an event—it is a way of life. Together, we strive to make generosity part of our community’s identity all year round.
